Special needs camps serve children suffering from any of a wide range of physical disabilities medical conditions intellectual difficulties or emotional problems. Types of special needs camps include autism Aspergers epilepsy hearing impaired speech impaired visually impaired developmen- tal disabilities learning disabilities oncology leukemia diabetes and many others. Sports camp is another specialized camp category. Types of vol- unteer camps range from community service volunteer programs environmental care to political action. The category of religious camps cover each and every religious denomination conceivable. This year the Academy of Notre Dame de Namur in Villanova is introducing new summer camps from June 13 through June 24 designed to inspire creativity boost athletic ability and spark the imagination. New enrichment programs for middle school students include Photography Science of Flight and Creative Writing.
