At the “Hill of Life,” we want you to not just live, but thrive. As a Life Plan Community, the value of a retirement community like Tel Hai lies in the priority access to the full range of residential accommodations, amenities, and services to enhance and secure your retirement experience. Today’s seniors are self-directed planners who are looking for a future filled with possibilities and purpose. For the MacDonalds, all their planning efforts in anticipation of their move to Tel Hai in 2015 couldn’t have prepared them for one of life’s unexpected turns: an illness. Married for 46 years, the MacDonalds shared a lifetime of ministry together. With Dan leading a Bible study at Tel Hai, “We knew when we explored different communities that Tel Hai just seemed like home to us,” shared Dan. After two years on the waiting list, they reserved a cottage. Shortly after, Dan was hospitalized for two months with a serious, life-threatening illness. While serving as his health advocate through hospitalizations, rehabilitation, and a stay in Tel Hai’s Meadows Health Care Center, Sue sold their home and packed up for the move. One week after moving in, Sue welcomed Dan home to their cottage at Tel Hai. Blessed with a second lease on life, Dan was healing, recovering, and gaining back his strength. Today, the MacDonalds are hard to track down. Between leading Biblical educational tours, senior softball, a bowling league, and guest preaching, they’re on the move. “Our days are busy doing the things we enjoy,” shared Dan. Like the MacDonalds, plan to call Tel Hai home and discover the benefits of a close-knit community today. Schedule a visit by contacting Ginny at 610.273.9333 (ext. 2144) or email info@TelHai.org.
