Muetterties, MD, a board-certified radiolo- gist. “It opened with no film. All images were digital. It introduced digital mammography and high field open bore MRI methodology to the area. The open bore MRI system is particularly appreciated by large patients or those with claustrophobia. “Brinton Lake Imaging also provided pa- tients with access to the latest CT technol- ogy, and was the first center to offer non- invasive CT colonography and coronary CT angiography,” continues Dr. Muetterties. “Another important feature of Brinton Lake Imaging was, and still is, the combination of subspecialty trained physicians practicing with a complement of state-of-the-art tech- nology. Diagnostic procedures are a critical component of outpatient health care and are conveniently available in the larger CKHS Brinton Lake medical complex.” A SUMMARY OF SERVICES Brinton Lake Imaging is accredited by the American College of Radiology. In addition to Dr. Muetterties and other board-certified radiologists, it is staffed with registered nurs- es and technologists certified by the Ameri- can Registry of Radiologic Technologists® . All technology and equipment are manufac- tured by industry leaders. Among a wide array of procedures pro- vided are mammography, bone density scans, diagnostic X-rays, ultrasound, computed tomography and CT angiography, PET-CT, magnetic resonance imaging, interventional radiology, and non-invasive vascular studies. Some tests require further explanation. CT angiography (CTA) utilizes X-rays to visualize blood flow within vessels through- out the body. Compared to traditional cath- eter angiography, which involves injecting contrast material directly into an artery, CTA is much less invasive and more patient friendly. Coronary CT angiography (CCTA) is a specialized type of CT angiography to specifically evaluate the arterial supply to the heart.
