While Gin- ny left her occupation managing an analyti- cal service laboratory, she found it exciting to wonder where the road might take her. Eventually, it led to a sewing machine which she bought to sew a pretty apron for a niece who was getting married. Searching online, Ginny was amazed at the infinite variety of available, gorgeous fabrics; and she decid- ed to purchase fabrics for several aprons. Aprons lead to hairbands, yoga mat bags, custom-made skirts, table runners, bags, baskets, baby blankets, lavender sachets, custom-made pillows, and most recently, re- upholstery. And so, Side Stitch by Ginny was born. Recently, Philadelphia Runner began carrying Side Stitch by Ginny hairbands in all of its stores. This fall Ginny’s very popu- lar double-sided, plaid flannel infinity scarves and reversible ponchos are once again avail- able. In addition to Artisan Exchange, Side Stitch by Ginny products can be found on- line. And hairbands may also be purchased at all Philadelphia Runner locations. etsy.com/shop/SideStitchByGinny THE WOODLANDS AT PHILLIPS The Woodlands at Phillips, a historic retail store amidst the picturesque countryside of southern Chester County, upholds the Phil- lips’ family tradition of excellence.
